Disaster Planning Services for Big Sandy Rancheria - Extreme Weather and Natural Disaster Evacuation Plan
Big Sandy Rancheria (BSR) is accepting Request for Proposals to select a licensed and insured professional disaster and emergency infrastructure, adaptation, resiliency and transportation planning or related services company or individual to provide professional and technical planning phase consulting services for items identified in the Scope of Work for the development of a new Extreme Weather and Natural Disaster Evacuation Plan for Big Sandy Rancheria – a Caltrans Adaptation Planning grant funded project. RFP FOR FRESNO-MADERA STATE ROUTE 41 & AVENUE 9 - SUSTAINABLE CORRIDORS STUDY

City of Stockton - Senior Planner

Monthly Salary: $6,896.44 - $8,854.27

The City of Stockton is seeking to fill four (4) newly-approved Senior Planner positions in our Community Development Department. Successful candidate will perform work within all related sub-disciplines of planning, including current land use development, long range, environmental and housing, and lead efforts on revitalization of the City's Downtown by contributing innovative ideas and forming collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Incumbents will serve in a lead role on complex advance planning and development projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and institutional proposals and overseeing the preparation of environmental documents in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act.

Incumbents will be responsible for processing legislative applications, such as zone changes and General Plan amendments; and applying analytical and problem-solving skills to address Stockton's housing needs for all income levels. In addition, they will be responsible for consulting and advising property owners, architects, engineers, contractors and the general public regarding City policies, standards, and procedures, and present information to City Council, Planning Commission, and other groups.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience with coordinating the preparation of California Environmental Quality Act compliant environmental reports and applying urban design principles and design guidelines. Experience with downtown revitalization/Specific Plans is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for City planning with demonstrated professional experience, excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills as well as excellent problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills. The incumbent will work a City of Stockton 9/80 work schedule - 7:30am to 5:30pm, Mondays through Thursdays; 8:00am to 5:00pm on Fridays, with alternating Fridays off.

Education/Experience:

Possession of a Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university with major course work in City or regional planning, urban planning, or a closely related field AND four (4) years of professional planning experience. Sub-professional or additional professional planning experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. A Master's degree in City, regional or urban planning may be substituted for one year of the professional planning experience. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License. Must be willing to attend evening meetings as required.

Caltrans Central Region

Environmental Planner (Natural Sciences)/Associate Environmental Planner (Natural Sciences)

$5,676.00 - $7,109.00 per Month

Under the general direction of a Senior Environmental Planner, the incumbent is an interdisciplinary team member who participates in transportation systems planning and project development; prepares environmental analysis of proposed projects and modal and design alternatives; identifies environmental impacts of transportation systems, corridors and projects and formulates measures to mitigate impacts; prepares, reviews and processes environmental clearance documents for transportation systems plans and projects in compliance with all applicable local, State and Federal laws, regulations and policies; reviews environmental documents of local, State and Federal agencies; oversees consultants carrying out environmental document preparation and technical work; and prepares inventories and analyses of existing and future environmental conditions. The incumbent coordinates with outside agencies, the public and Caltrans; and participates as a departmental representative on environmental issues at inter or intradepartmental meetings, public or private meetings and hearings. The incumbent must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with various local partners and interested parties involved with District 6 projects.

Senior Air Quality Specialist

LSA’s Fresno office is seeking a Senior Air Quality Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience and a BS/BA in an engineering, science, environmental, or urban planning field.
